Gold colored jewelry gold plated?

I have a box of about 5 pounds of jewelry. Most of this stuff is not marked. It all has a golden color to it. My question is if it is golden in color is it gold plated? I am thinking of sending it to ARA but worried that all this stuff is just junk. A lot of this stuff is earrings that you would find on one of them spinning shelf things at your local walmart for a couple bucks a set.

Buy yourself a gold test kit. Its easy to do and then you'll know for sure what you have.

If not gold more than likely yellow brass.

Look for gold markings. Non marked items are probably plated. Vintage costume jewekry does have some collector value.
