In my job I use the Delorme online map with GPS, every time I pass a park I tag it on the map so when I get off work early enough, I check the map and route myself home so I can pass a park and hunt on the way home.
Today I stopped at a small local park on way home from work that I found a ring at couple weeks ago. I found the small gold cross first by the swings, it was bent where someone had stepped on it. It is very thin and a mesh style.
It started to sprinkle and since my detector I was using was my 6000 and not water proof I rushed around the last small play area trying to look quickly so I could leave before it got wet. I found the 14 K Gold N.Y.C. Badge charm just as I was leaving the mulch to head to the truck.
The clasp at the top of the badge says 14k, unfortunately it has been rubbed and does not come out well in the picture I took, but it can be seen clearly with a magnifying glass.
Found this link. It looks identical to it except mine says N.Y.C. at top instead of New York City. The clasp holding it is identical as is everything else on badge.

Dime is old find and just for size comparison.
