Gold earring

I found what looks to be a real gold earring. How do I test to see if it is real gold short of going to a jeweler?

Unfortunately you would need to Buy an
Expensive tester to be Sure Otherwise.

An auctioneer once told Me Lick it.

If it dosn't Burn/taste on the tip of your Tongue
it is most Likely real
