"Gold" Ikes

While hitting some banks for half rolls today, I picked up about twenty four Ikes ?

Anyone else run across nicely light gold tinted Ike dollars ? The color is consistent thought the coin; and even along the reeded edge.

Any thoughts ?

It's a post-mint novelty. Do a search on eBay for gold-plated Eisenhower dollars and you'll find quite a few listings like this one:

Haven't found any gold plated Ikes yet,but I have found a gold plated Kennedy half.The funny thing is,it was plated after it was circulated for years.You would think that these companies that do the gold plating would at least use uncirculated or almost uncirculated coins.There not that hard to come by.
