gold in henderson

I bought two arces of land out in henderson nc. I notice that there is alot of quarts and granit like material. Has anybody found gold in this area?I have a small creek i was going to go sample. Ill share results when iam done.I would also like to to go outside the area. If anybody needs help or wants to show me were to go that would be great. I move here from Ore. and have done alot of prospecting on the rogue river, calupula river and the umqua river. Most of my equipment is in Ore but will get some stuff for my hobby as funds allow. thanks Zumben

With this crowd any gold is a good test. No gold bad test.
On Nome Beach in Alaska it's all flour gold but there are ounces of it.
Flour is good too.

Henderson itself is not in Henderson County, it is in Vance County. Crazy, I know. My in-law are from Epsom' just outside of Henderson. There is a long history of gold mines in neighboring Franklin County, so I would think there is gold around the area. There is a nice rocky stream on their land that I plan to check out.
