Gold Monster 1000 or 2000?

I am relatively new to metal detecting, but I have been using the Gold Monster 1000 for the last year and have had good luck with it. I have found one gold nugget and lots of small pieces of lead, so I know the machine is working.
I tend to depend on the screen a little more than the sound, and I have heard that the Gold Monster 2000 might be better because of the additional displays.
So which is better, the Gold Monster 1000 or 2000?
Any advice or information is appreciated.
