Hunted an old yard and after getting a silver rosie, a very toasted 1901 V nickel I got a deep 45 on the AT Pro. Dug the plug and a gold color was smiling at me. Appears to be a nail ring? Not a single mark in it

Had it tested today. It's 14K! Jeweler says it's a horseshoe nail ring.

That's just awesome!!! :headbang:

Very nice find. Ya think they used a golden hammer to drive it?? (Just kidding ) lol. Any jeweler would be able to tell you if it's the real deal.

Congratz! That ring looks awesome!

It looks like gold all right. It's actually a very cool looking ring imo. Pulling gold from the ground is the best.

No marks don't mean a thing. It could have been re sized or could even be hand made by someone. I found a 10K ring last year with no marks but took it to a friend who owns a pawn shop and had it verified as real. He explained how the marks can be lost when it's re sized and mine definitely was.

It's a fantastic find.

The Roosey and V Nick' ain't too shabby either. Congrats.
Really nice hunt.

Now that's an unusual gold ring! Congrats nice finds!

Great find Iv been driving those for 35 years not gold of course, that's identical to a Capewell horseshoe nail.

Wow that's a really cool ring

Maybe it belonged to a fellow farrier.
