I was surprised to learn that Palladium is more durable than platinum but is worth only 1/4 as much. If I were going to get a new wedding set today, I would sure think about palladium. As it turns out my wife's engagement ring which is a family heirloom is actually set in palladium. We found out when we had the shank rebuilt after three generations of wear. Nice treasures you found. I would be proud to have them in my collection.... HH, Beach Papa
