Gold rimmed pot?

Hi guys, first time posting on your forum, I found this on a beach in the UK, it weren't untill I got it home and cleaned it the golden rim shone through, I've no idea what it is
Any info would be great!

Is that threads on the top and bottom? looks like a pipe fitting with part of a brass fitting screwed on top.

My first thought was cremation urn. Not an uncommon find at the beach...

Hi Mike, the only part of it that's threaded is the beass/golden bit at the top, the other lines are decorative

Was a weekend in croyde, 4hrs from where I live, if it is gold I shall return [emoji6]

It definitely appears to be Gold.
