Today I detected the big park in San Francisco. While swinging my detector I received a foil reading on my meter right on top of a gopher mound. To my surprise out pops a gold ring! It has to be 22K or 24K gold. It is definitely more yellow in color than the typical 14K or 10k gold ring. It has some Chinese characters written inside, none of the symbols are in English. Also dug up 8 wheat pennies, silver ring, and a enameled pin.

HH All!

Congratulations on finding both gold and silver at the park today! :notworthy:

The SF Labour Union pin is cool too!

good day for sure :icon_thumleft: wtg

Take that to a friendly jeweler (that leaves out Zales) and he can straighten that out on his mandrel in about 60 seconds. If he charges you a nickel, then he is not the guy you want to do business with in the future.

Very cool!
That must be where the expression, "gopher (go for) the gold" came from. ;D
Congrats,
MM

Good Job on the Gold Rind and other finds! :icon_thumright:
