SAT CELLAR HOLES & ANOTHER LARGE CENT

Got out with Gary today.hit a few holes.all were so quiet not even iron was ringing out.a few bleeps of iron here n there seriously like these sites were hoover vacumed cleaned.i never experienced this before.last hole was the same super quiet except for 2 nice sounding targets far away from the hole.one was a brass oval shaped ring and just about to call it quits from exhaustion and a lackluster day when i got the LC signal at 5 inches next to a big tree
and out pops a no dater matron head.
never seen a tree growing out of a well have you guys? well maybe whoever vacumed this site has seen it

last pictures are of a few things i picked up at a barn sale on the way up.2 late 1800's bottles and a naval button $2 for all any ideas on the age of the button ? civil war? later perhaps?

That tree in the well is something else! I can honestly say I've never seen one like that before. Weird the place was so clean though.....

Those salamanders are very scarce here, seen 2 only in many years.

Nice Digs Man! That CW Navy Button is very nice as is the Whiskey Bottle. I have a couple exactly like that outta bottle pits from down here in Virginia. Very solid day my friend!

i know the feeling of no signals..theres a celler hole a couple miles from my house that i been to twice with only 1 small blob of rusty iron..no nails no nothing.i thought something was wrong with my detector.so the second time i went i brought my other detector and told myself im gonna dig every signal..well the rusty blob was the only signal..im still scratching my head
