I started out going to a tot lot and volley ball court. Found some usual clad and a diamond stud earring (I think its silver with Quebec zer.) at the tot lot. Then I went to an old park, where I think there use to be a couple of old homes. I think this because of the finds in that area, (ceramic items, oil lamp parts, oil valves, etc....). Well anyway, I got a nickle reading at 7", dug down around that deep and out pops a gold ring with a diamond. I thought it would probably be fake. Got the hard dirt out of the center and it had a 14K on the band, it also had "style best" on the band. I think because of the other old items (coins from 1909- modern) and the depth that it could be an older ring maybe (1940s maybe 1930s). I guess anyway that wasn't too bad for a 5 hr hunt. Hope everyone does well the next time you go out. HH
