Great weekend and met some great people which added up for a great hunt. We hunted some of the trashiest sites I have ever encountered but my 6" coil handled it very well. I was finding most of these coins directly under or on top of pull tabs...nails...etc.
I found the half dime right next to a nail...less than 1" away. I ended up the 2 day hunt with 6 silver and 25 wheaties. Not bad for the pounded to death areas we hunted. That's exactly why all those silver coins were still in the ground after all these years though...because of the tremendous amount of trash which made everyone walk right over the top of these goodies...leaving them for me!. It was unbelievable as I would pop out at least 2 junk items from the hole before the coin would appear between more trash! Not bad considering I hunted a total of 7 hours between both days combined. Sorry for the short post...but I need to head to work.

Hello Bryce, was that the seminar hunt you went to in St. Louis over the weekend? How many guys found silver there?

Man, that's a nice assortment of goodies. Well done to wade through the trash like that. Having patience among all the junk usually pays off in the right spots. It looks like the place has some good history with those date ranges.

Congratulations on those well earned finds.

Jayson (Also still looking for a half-dime :) )

Congrats on that half dime! It takes a lot of patience to winnow through all that trash to find the goodies; good for you!

Thanks Dan.
Ya that was a fun time and it was well organized. I'm not sure how many of the others found silver. I know there was a guy hunting the super trash section I was with a smaller coil and he found a couple silver too. The half dime made an ever so slight chirp on my 6" excelerator coil but I was 15 feet away from where I found the first one so I dug like a madman. The nail right next to it had masked it all these years.
