Gold Trap/Sluice

Just wondering what the difference is on these 2, and does one perform better than the other? would you recommend that a prospector have both a Sluice and a Gold Trap? just asking general questions here, im sure you can tell im new to this.

From what I understand a Sluice is a type of gold trap. For example you may have heard of a nugget trap, that is another form of gold trap. So anything that traps gold would be considered a gold trap. Some people even setup gold traps that sit out year round. They will go to their gold traps after a storm and clean them out.
