Some of this gold was panned by my father, some by me, and some of it came out of the Merced River, where it was flowing through a camp ground in Yosemite National Park. This would have been around 1950, and the Park Ranger stopped by to see how we were doing. Don't try and pan gold there now, times they have changed, and not for the better. We weren't dredging though, or digging the bank, just panning around rocks in the river.
On the up side I'm not gonna be around to see the full extent of the coming New World Order. God help those who will.
