Did a small hunt after work and found one wheat cent and this Joan d'Arc religious medal. It was about 6 inches deep and has size of a dime. Looks like gold but green patina on edges makes me think that is gold plated :(

Looks like the edge is definately plated, but the rest might be gold??? Any markings at all?

Sure looks like gold to me, a beautiful medalian either way. Great find, congrats!! Maybe just the solder they used was low grade?

There is a couple of marks, but one of them is so small that I can not read it even under the magnifying glass (but I don't have a good one). See pictures.

Great looking pendant. Congrats.

I don't think it would be marked like that if it wasn't gold. Its a nice pendent. I bought a gold testing kit online for around $25, they're really easy to use. I hope it is, and congrats.

The center medallion looks like gold to me

It's hard to tell from the pic, but it looks like there's some wear on the high parts of the medallion and the color appears to remain uniform. If it's plated it's pretty darn thick.

Even if it IS just plated it's still a very cool find.....WTG
