Gonna need some help with this one...

I can't remember where I found this but I threw it in a box and it sat for a few years. I'm thinking some type of fishing weight but not really sure. It has some weight to it. Probably around an ounce or 2. Feels like lead. It has wire coming out of the ends with a bead attached.
