Good bank run yesterday...surprise find w/pics

Stopped at a few small banks yesterday - not my standard pick-up/dump ones - seeing if I could get some halves out of their coin counters. Got $67 from one bank and a $500 bag from another one. Here's the haul:
44 - 40% Kens
20 - 90% Kens
5 - Bens
2 - Walkers
1 - 90% "1946 Iowa Centennial Commemmorative Half Dollar"

Turns out only 100,057 of those were minted, and my 2011 Red Book (pg 297) values it from $115+!!! The coin Ebays for around $60+ I was about to tosss it in the bag with my odd finds, but it sounded and felt like a 90%er, so good thing I double checked!

Boxes are soooo hit and miss these days. Based on these results, I think I am going to plan a half-day road trip each week and hit a few smaller banks/CU's for a change of pace...

Nice haul, i did a road trip 2day got zilch and only a few dollars in clad all tolled from the many Banks stopped at, also heard from couple tellers how so many people are stopping in daily asking for them.

Nice find. Sometimes I think it is better to just do the bank rounds. Boxes sound like they have a lot of skunks.
