Went to the park for the first time this year. I don't go there often because it's hunted so hard, but I thought I would give it a try since I've been on a roll with the gold rings. There are a couple of trashy spots so I thought that would be a good spot to start since most guys stay away because of all the old tin cans there. It started out good with a 1929 buffalo nickel about 15 feet from the truck. Got to the trashy spot and tried to find good stuff without digging too deep where the cans where dumped before it was a park. The first good signal was 2 wheats stuck together then another wheat. Then I all I could find was garbage. Finally got a good but weak signal and pulled a 1910-s barber dime out at 8". I also found a 1939 Jefferson nickel, BSA pin, bracelet, & 12 cents in clad. Not often that you pull out more old coins than modern ones in a public park. I guess they don't want to dig that deep? Two of the three wheats were 1929-s weird. Good hunting luck everyone.

Maybe not too deep, you probably just managed to have your coil over the 2 inches of dirt that everyone had missed. lol.
