picked up two rubber maid boxes of costume jewelry today...lots of avon junk...looked like the stuff was thrown in the wash...tangle mass of necklaces...been sitting on my bottom since about 11am untangling the silver from the garbage chains.


13 native made silver necklaces...and counting.
3 14k chains
handful of charms for bracelets... .925, one 10k.
3 sets of stud earrings, diamonds.
four or five sets of old time button studs.
two jewelry vice.
two pocket knives.
three pocket watch like compacts.
;D 20 bucks....

and i have not even seen the bottom of the boxes....

i am cross eyed from the mess...tiny little silver chains...twisted into a ball of hippie jewelry, and avon...yeck.

here is the current state of the spiderweb..well, one handful of it.

too late dan...done deal...three or four hours of snip snip snip....i am still working on untangling some silver chain...but i at least have the avon stuff out of the way...

next step is removing glass beads from the chains...whew...might just wait on that till i am not seeing wiggling chains when i close my eyes...

thanks..i wondered why it was such a familiar sight... :icon_jokercolor:

i lived in bisbee in the early 80's...left when the califonicators started buying up the place.
