Finally got to swing my coil over some ground in vermont after a loooong winter. I had a great day even though the ground was still partially frozen in a few spots but i did manage to chip these goodies out. I have been trying to get an id on this pewter button and the closest i can find is a 1812 infantry button. however this does not 100% match up, any help would be appreciated.
here is the button in question

I also found my most ornate shoe buckle to date and my first copper of the year.

Thanks for looking and good luck this year!

Sweet shoe buckle and largie, great details in both. Someone will chime in and ID the old style eagle button for you. Congrats!

Nice finds. The belt buckle is one of the most decorative have seen. You all dig up large cents out there on the east coast like we dig up Indian heads here in Nebraska...good post !
