My first button! please help! :)

I found this today! My first nice button! I was detecting some family’s property in Callahan County, Texas. I know there used to be a house where I found this. I know nothing about identifying buttons. I believe it’s military. I can’t make out what the back says other than some random letters. Help me! I’m so excited for this because I’ve spent many hours digging trash. Not a single coin. Finally got this ( I did find a cool padlock from A St. Louis Worlds Fair) and a couple old makeup compact lids.)

Since your button is japanned black, it would be a WWI Great Seal Army button. These buttons were only black only from 1917-1923.

I pretty sure any used in the field were black to avoid reflection, and for dress uniforms they were gilt.
