Thru the years this outfit has paid many times over for itself, here’s an hours worth of coin:hello2: ,yep here’$1.72, a Harley button and some lead strip, I spose I could even say it’s my most reliable, finditall detector, just checked owners manual, date on it is 2008, and never had to use the warranty:headbang: it is mounted on whites rods, I take it with me when flying commercial, and vacationing, sure found a ton o stuff with this good ol’ beeper, even if it is old, and obsolete like me.

The old Scorp is a Garrett classic. Sure there are newer more trendy digital wiz bang detectors on the market but the scorp can do it all fuss free from the parks gardens, and tot lots to the gold fields and the beach.
If you are a hard core treasure hunter who wants perfect TID and super depth then the scorp is likely not for you. But even so, don't be fooled into thinking the scorp is not up to speed . Learn how to use it and it will serv you very well indeed.

This particular Scorpion I been using for aprox 8 yr, had other stuff, but this is the go to, geterdone outfit.

That's a great machine; I still have mine. I found it is great on native copper and for meteorite hunting as well. Another aspect of it that I like is the ore sampling feature. It's a solid well built analog machine that will yield a ton of great finds, even today.

Feeling guilty for not using mine for awhile, but have found more with the Scorpion than either of MineLabs.

Hi,
I have a Scorp that I bought new in the early 90s. I remember all the guys with Fishers and Whites going full speed while I had to ground balance all the time.
Anyway, I learned how to use it and it does a real good job, but I left my headphones somewhere and need to find some more.
Does anyone know if the MS-2 or MS-3’s will work?
I tried regular stereo headphones, but only get a really faint signal in the left side.
Does anyone know if the MS-2 or MS-3 be adapted for this scorp?
Thank you,
Mark
