Found this great Ingersoll Rand reciprocating saw last night for $9.99 and it was senior discount day of 25%. Man this is a heavy duty saw and runs like a bear. It seems the thrift stores are pricing the cordless stuff at higher prices these days as they are more popular I think, but I could still use this one instead of the old cheap one I've got. I can't find any info to value on it online to see if it's worth selling. It looks to have only little use on it.

Motor size (as measured by amps) is key in tools like this. Higher amps = more power. Yours has a 4.5 amp motor. I did a quick check of retail prices for new ones. 4.5 amp sabre saws (or jigsaws as they are often called) sell new for around $40 so you would be doing well to re-sell it for $20. Judging by the photo that looks like a very solidly built tool and you did well to get it for less than $10. If you need a saw like this, I would keep it. And... you're right, cordless tools (especially 18 volt and higher) sell for considerably more money these days.

Yeah, even though the batteries are usually no good (in my experience).

That saw must have been expensive when new.

That thing is a brute.

With only a quick look, I can't find that model on the internet.

If it were mine, I'd be tempted to try it as an auction with a $99 start. But then again, if I found it for $10, the saw might find a new home in my tool box.
