So last week I was a happy, thought I found a copper, but it was a flopper. Today though, the dirt made up for it. I was at the old Yancey College, that I mentioned a while back I have permission to hunt.
I have been working the wall, and to say it has been a disappointment is a understatement. Today though, the ground was in a giving mood, and made up for the mean joke it played on me last week. It gave me a bucket list coin. A 1945 war nickle. Very happy to get one of these. Due to their limited mint, could be hard to come by.

Nice war nick! :icon_thumleft: My first silver find was a war nick :)

Glad the ground wasnt fickle and knew you were in a pickle and coughed up a nickle

Well it was one I needed to get. I have a 19 dime, a 43 quarter, now I have a 45 nickle. Now the hard ones. .50cent and $1.00 finds.
