Google is planning to release 32 million mosquitoes in the United States as a part of the Debug Project. Through its parent company Alphabet, Google is seeking federal approval to release 32 million mosquitoes in California and Florida over the next two years as part of an ongoing initiative called the Debug Project, which aims to control mosquito populations and cut down on mosquito-borne diseases

 
32 million sterile males, eggs would fail to hatch.
 
This is doomed to failure, following the mosquito community’s rejection of Google’s demand that they all sign up for a password-protected account, accept cookies and targeted advertising, and allow Google to access their location. They’re all switching to Microsoft Bing.
