Stopped at a site I had my eye on for a while, was never able to get in touch with anyone. Today I'm driving pass and see someone coming out of the place. Well made a u turn and stopped them, before they got in the car..lol
They were in a hurry, so they said go ahead, and thats all I needed.
This place is incredibly with lots of history all around.
I got my gear on, ground balanced and with in 10 min I had 2 half cents.
I thought the first was a quarter because it was so shallow till I wiped it and said oh ya, thats in great shape, put it in the container and went right back to it. Right next to it I get another hit just like that. Dug down and Bam! Another one. Ya baby. Right after that the skies open up and started to pour.
I wrapped up, can't wait to get back.
Thanks for looking.
George

Two great looking coppers, congrats on the quick hunt and results. Probably you'll be going back sometime soon to this new permission.

Oh yea!! As soon as this Hurricane passes!!!
Next week, hopefully.
Thanks Pepper

Double US half cent short hunt?? Perhaps at some point you'll come clean with the forum on the deal you struck to be such a lucky dog. Now, I wonder with whom you could have entered into such a bargain...

Unreal half cent buddy!! I have only a couple coppers that came out near that good, and you have both of them beat with that one. And the. A friggin 1807?! Most people are lucky to dig two half cents in a year or a lifetime and you dig two in a day?!

YOU DA MAN

Steve

Vino, I have to admit, there are only a few folks that I absolutely can't wait to see their posts, and you are high on that list! Congrats on the half-cents! If that's what you found in such a short time, I can only imagine what else you're going to find. That 1834 is the finest half-cent I've ever seen dug! Wish you continued success!

A half cent spill! Shut the front door!

That '34 is as nice a half cent, as I have ever seen. No wear and excellent detail... nice, considering that the it has been laying in the dirt for about 180 years! You just never cease to amaze.

I guess dynamite does come in small packages.

Thanks Tom..
It was a shocker to me to..

Man, that 1834 is fantastic. I have found several but none even close to that nice. :occasion14:

Thanks Gary

I hear ya George what a hunt you had. You'd never find that down here in north Carolina, they stopped making half cent's before anybody down here could afford a half cent. As always 'Congratulations'

Thanks Todd.

Awesome half cents George, and to echo the others that '34 is magnificent...or magnifihalfcent lol

Holy crap!!! That 1834 is worth some $$$! Two half cents in 10 minutes ?!?!?! :notworthy: Insane!!!!! Congratulations and I'm excited to hear about your return trip! A half cent is still on my list.

Thanks Isaac,
