Doesnt sound fun at all..take care & heal up!!

Try and occupy your mind with research and stuff you can do in your down time. The mind is in high gear and the body is in park.

I had major surgery in April 2013, definitely not fun! Best advice I heard, figure on being able to do half of what you feel like you can do. It does get better and you will notice little victories daily. I celebrated when I could look down and see my feet (the swelling went down). When I had hernia surgery it felt a little weird for a week.
It DOES get better, just not on our time line. Rest when you need to.
Praying for you.

Thanks it's just that every time I start to get in gear to do this in the last year and a half something medically keeps me down

When I was in an accident that had part of my hand and elbow removed I was told to slow down and smell the roses. But I recalled the good times and determined that they would return. Then at a later time I had 9 heart stoppages and was told it was time to sit and watch. I again recalled the old times and returned full throttle although only slightly subdued. I have an electronic device for pain implanted in my hip and another for my heart in my chest. Dont feel down look ever foreward. Each day in the desert many times alone I see a peak, gully, or wash that I must detect. So little time, So much to do!

Do your research now and think about how nice and pain free you'll be when you get back out on the hunt! Get well soon!

Best wishes for a fast recovery!

well, I guess you could play with the pinpointer and count the staples through your shirt. :)

TOtALLY KIDDING. Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks you guys. I was having a pity party that day. I know it's just a temporary setback but I've had a few and they always seem to be when the weather is perfect. I'll be okay soon but thank you for everything. Fall is coming the days will get cooler.

Dream of Fort Knox, just watch that left turn in Albuquerque. Godspeed

Fort Knox is only an hour and a half away lol. But thanks
