Gosh look what we found

What is it? Some sort of Indian grinding stone or one they used to finish the skins?

The pic didnt come out good but its perfectly round and its a cannon ball . I took it to the local museum and that what they said also . It was found on a major indian camp area. It weighs more than 2 lbs

Wow, Cannon ball! What are you doing digging? Aren't you supposed to be shooting dove! You aren't using that for Dove are you? Good find, no, not 'good', GREAT FIND!!!

If there is one artifact there should be more. If it came out of the river maybe not. Great, great find though...

Only missed 2 days of dove hunting so far A pic of my hunting partner Miss Dee

The girl at museum said that it has been shot because it has a crack on it . Why would that even be in my area no CW battles anywheres close

Could be Spanish, could be some group traveling west and from where you are, west meant Comanche. Before that other tribes. Defended themselves or test fired the gun? No way of knowing I guess. Really special find though. I have a small one, maybe an inch or less in diameter. Was told it was Spanish "shot"(like buckshot). Cannon was loaded with many and then fired. Sort of like a shotgun. Found it in a field on the edge of San Antonio. How, why? Don't know. There are a lot of relics in Texas. You found a great one...

Thanks Its a lot fun just thinking about it

Awesome Find! It seems like you are in a great area for old relics!

I havent even made a dent because fishing and hunting gets in the way

Looks great Sally....

Thanks

Get the diameter. Then you can figure out who made it. Different countries used different sizes.
