Got a nice big first!!!!

[Carver]

Had an hour to kill tonight,, so I went to a farm field where an old house once stood about a mile from my house... The farmer just chisled the ground and it's ready to plant corn,,,I wasn't there hardly 5 minutes and got a 92-93 VDI at 2"... M6 was screaming at me! Dug the dirt up and saw half a disk sticking out,, I figured it was an aluminum bottle cap,,, picked it up and saw the words STATES OF and in God we trust!! My first Morgan Dollar 1900o,,, SWEET!!!!! Kept going and got a 1950 Rosie sitting on edge right on top of the ground.... Gonna hit this field hard and fast before the corn starts popping up!!

Very nice Morgan. Here's my 1901-O found at an old bunkhouse site demolished 40+ years ago note the pitting throughout from the alkali soil.

Sweet Coin. I always wondered how you could lose one of those.... but then I think back to 1996 at a movie theater in Spokane Wa. I used to carry an 1878 Morgan in my wallet for good luck. During the movie, I pulled out my wallet and the coin fell out. I heard it hit the floor and roll all the way to the bottom of the theater. It was a concrete floort so I could hear it well. I looked for it when the movie ended but it was gone.
