Got D-Udder One Off N It's Army Green
Hi folks,
I just got through getting the steel off my other
brass, WW I artillery timer fuse,
This one only took one and one half hours to
get it done. It also has a good amount of the
original army green paint left on it.
I brushed it off the first one. That was probably
a mistake.
I used a 6 inch bench grinder. These two timer
fuses just about wore my grinding wheel to a nub,
I had to grind until the brass threads were just
showing through the steel,
I had to grind both sides the same way,
Then I put it in a vice,
I hit it 5 times with a 4 pound shop hammer.... It
did not budge. I turned it around in the vise and
hit it 5 more times,
BINGO!
Now I have two of the nicest WW I timer fuses
you will ever see,
Thanks fer l@@kin,
