Hi all, I have posted about this coin on here in the past, I dug it at a site where a colonial house once stood, but was gone sometime in the early 1800s. It is nothing but a small cow pasture now, we found a handful of other coins with this one, including brittish half pennies and a capped bust half cent.

I finally got around to sending this coin to the gradeing company last week, it hasn't made it back yet but I was sent an e-mail with tracking info and grade results. It got a grade of a vg10, which my coin book shows the value at $10,000!!

Now I do understand that this all depends on the buyer, it could go for less or even a bit more depending on how bad someone would want it. I don't plan on selling at this time, but it never hurts to know what you have. Below are some pics of the coin.

Congrats on a beauty! I checked a greysheet book I have and the wholesale price, which is around what most dealers would offer, is about $7000. I think you have the 13 star reverse type if I'm seeing it correctly. Pays for a detector or three ...and gas money, too!

Great news, thanks for the update!

That's great ! Congrats on the beautiful coin that's also rare.
I love what PCGS has to say about your coin:
" Any example of an 1804 Dime is the mark of an advanced collection."

Thank you guys. The best part of it is, I found this coin in the very infancy of my detecting career.

I had no idea what I had, my buddy was about 30 yards from me when I dug it. He knew it was a good one as soon as I showed it to him, but not how rare the particular year was until he googled it, Definitely the find of a lifetime for me!
