Well I dumped about 20k worth of halves in the last month and most of them at the same bank, well I know that they do in fact sell too the fed now as I tossed back something and it came back. And I finaly got my first skunk boxes EVER! 3 in a row.
A month ago I went though 4k in halves and found some crummy guardian angle coin/token thing, Well if it was in fed rolls It surly can go back, I marked it just out of curiosity by drilling 3 holes in the rim. After drilling the holes I could see the coin is just plated brass.

Anyway, Since I got the same darn coin back I am going to put it into the system again.
If anyone else finds it please let me know and put it back, It could be fun to see if we can get some traveling coins kind of like a chain letter. Nothing to keep but if we come across it hunting it may be able to help track the things.

I did find a bank with 60 in fed rolls I missed before and it had 4 40%s and a Ben.
I also found a bank with $80 in customer rolls, All different colors, some brown, some yellow, In the yellow roll was all 1976ers, Someone realized they were only worth 50 cents each! LOL, but all in mint state. In the other rolls I found one walker and one 64ken and 6 more 40s Not a bad score!

Apparantly Brinks can only hold so much halves before they have to unload. Had the same thing happen here, started finding my own marked coins from a month or so ago. Problem is coins are brought in, boxed and stacked on top of the pallet, boxes sold come off the top also- see a pattern here? The boxes are not rotated like goods- wonder how much a pallet of halves costs, the only way I can think of getting to the bottom where the good stuff is. Either that or we have to dump out of our district- ready for a road trip to MO Dave? Split the gas haha. HH Mark

Ever? Wow. My first four boxes were 3 skunks and a box with ONE in it. One cin in 4 boxes.

I did a few boxes, and then decided to keep track of what I was doing and finding. So far I have kept track of my last 12 boxes. I am mostly doing pennies now, and intend ot buy the sorter tomorrow that has been talked about (It loooks GREAT) And I have four boxes of halves more coming this Wednsday. OUt of those 12 boxes of halves though I have had 7 skunks, 3 with one keeper, 1 with 2 keepers (Meaning 1970 or back, 1987, or a proof. Not counting NIFC, although I have a few of those too) and 1 amazingly (to me) had 11 keepers - and my ONLY 90% so far. NO Bens, NO Walkers, and one 90%. in 12 boxes. Take out my one good box, and I've had 5 keepers in 11 boxes.

I WISH I could say I had 3 skunks EVER and as many coins as you have found! :-)

Let some slip through to ME some time! ;-)
