This was found under the Southern California Beach pier in the wet sand about 8" deep with the White's PI.

It came out shiny and clean looking with just some discoloration on the attached clips. There's no marking except for S-21 on the reverse. Google got me a close match but without the Great Seal.

If anyone knows further on this I'd appreciate sharing it. I take it it's a pilot's wing insignia (replica?). I've learned that the star denotes "senior pilot" but that's all I know.

Finds have been slim in spite of a lot of effort (BUT I'm Patient and Persistent) . I'm using the opportunity to try to organize ALL my finds: Sinkers, Keys, Sea Glass, Fishing Lures, Pop-Tops (really!), Interesting Rocks and Unknowns.

Some really amazing finds posted on here lately.

Those are Airforce enlisted Senior Aircrew member Wings. Those are currently given to aircrew for being in a flying status for 5 years. Nice find.

Awesome! Now throw in a prayer with those wings!
