I got out yesterday with fellow Tneter Inspector Planed to walk and detect some massive fields looking for old cabin sites after a couple miles... all we got was tired.
So we ended up at an old foundation right across form my house.
Got a two piece Eagle button but still to tired to look it up.
The 1818 largie and the 1865 Indian are from a couple days ago from another site.
Got a lot of crap to but it on the front under a couple inches of snow.
Stay well

Nice!!!!! Congrats!!!!!

Congrats on the nice hunt! :occasion14:

Sounds like a tough day but you did find some good stuff so congrats on it! I'm still looking for my first large cent of the year!

I looked up the eagle button
Tice`s book "Uniform Buttons of the United States 1776-1865"
GS202A1 Scovill,MFG CO/Waterbury 20mm. Eagle grasp three arrows with right talons.
It is likely that these specimens were used as vest buttons after the Civil War

You did better than I did and it's been Purdy here. No excuses for not going.
