Well after drying out from the water and a long business trip I decided to brave the heat and head back to the woods where my last cut coin came from. Not having high hopes other than just getting away from the office I was pleasantly surprised when the first target and hole of the day was a nice cut spanish pistareen! Heck yea buddy!

I only had an hour so the rest of the time was spent checking iffy signals in the same area and out popped a few buttons, a trigger guard end, some lead and pewter and misc brass.

Not a bad way to end the day back!

HH

Dan

Hey man...it was a fun hour ha ha. I know what you mean though, I've dug more in one hour before than I have in 12 hours all day. This is a unique site that has plenty of targets and you play the odds.

Nice! Another great cut silver!
Congrats!

....if thats what happens when you have low expectations...do i dare ask what happens when you have Great Expectations?
The Spanish mint maybe? :D

Ha ha low expectations will always produce happy diggers ha ha. The mint would be nice though, heck a cache would be fine. I've not had a colonial cache in a long time

I love that cut silver! :occasion14:

Nice! and got some of the date. Neat how they use to make change in them days. they are some nice little finds...

Yea I found one the other day at the same site with the other half of the coin. Had hopped they matched (as I've done that before) but not to be.

I have to admit it, You Da Man Dan. Awesome cut silver.

There's some out there with your name on it!

So does this mean Dan is ahead in the 2016 Dan vs. Bill colonial silver dig-off?

WOW! That's cool! Congrats and happy hunting

Fortunately for me our little competition only runs during the field season. Otherwise I'd be getting trounced since I'm not hunting during the summer, at least not at sites that would produce colonial silver.

Nice one, Dan.

Ive often wondered why that part of the trigger guard seems to show up, but not the rest of it? :dontknow:

Yeeehaaaa! Cut Spanish! You better grab your buddies license plate to borrow!!!

You're killing it in 2016 Dan. We bow down to da king! Congrats again

Nice! That makes me want to get out there and find something. There's not any Spanish goodies in my area though.

If Dan did grab it, he may never find a cut silver again. That plate is a curse!
