Some, here, have heard of this place, if they've
followed me long enough.

I needed a lil recharge so I went back
to a place that never fails to do that but,
the items are sooooo far and between now. :dontknow:

Here's the take from about 4 hours of "walkin' "

I believe Fishy's megaphone is probably just
a brass something or other. There is a tiny mark
but I can't tell if it's a "mark" or a.......mark. :tongue3:

Don't think Blingster's interested.

There was one lil high/low - light for me though.
On what appeared to be a plain old zincoln hit,
from what I figured was a lawnkeeper's drop.

Came this piece:

I said "Button???"

2017 (654).webp

I actually saw this edge first and that started
the mind reeling. LOL

The piece seems to be fairly substantial in makeup
and it's non-magnetic. Was getting a bit dark out
so I waited until I got home to clean and try to check
if there was a back mark.

But....as you can see, the plot thickens.
At least for me it does! LOL

Oh! I almost forgot, today's walk was around
my beloved "mansion". Just like a walk back in time. :)

Thanks for peeking.

who marks brass?

Wish I could tell you with ID but I can't. Congrats on your walk

OLE FISHY SINGING WINCHESTER CATHEDRAL YOUR BRINGING ME DOWN ,AND BLINGIE SAYS I CANT TAKE THIS NOT ANOTHER DAY .NICE FINDS.

UPDATE

According to the experts over on the "What Is It?" forum...the consensus is that the "button" is likely some sort of freeze plug for a small engine. In case anyone was wondering. :)

Congratualtions on a productive hunt! :occasion14:

A walk down the old mansion with a whats it find! Nice!

Interesting little brass thing Fishy has claimed.

Blingie is just traipsing off to his treasure room, he'll be back.

The soil moisture may have played a role in items found.

Sometimes i find things in an area i have been over many times before, leaves me wondering how that happens....i blame the worms for moving things around.

I think i have found one of those plug things before, looks similar.

An enjoyable walk.

Thanks!

If you want to try an experiment. Go to a place you've been many, many times. Lay out a small area to hunt. Doesn't matter if you've hunted it before. Then, spend a solid hour or two hunting this small spot, over and over. Crisscross, different angles of the detector head, competing directions, faster swings, slower swings, Different settings, etc., etc. I suspect you'll be surprised. (dig it all too) Can be a real education! ;)

I have often wanted to do that and at some point i will. I may have to wait till winter, i will be digging a lot of trash targets. This is the field that had furnace debri used as landfill plus an auto repair place used to be there.
I have a few car parts already...maybe Fishy could use a few.
