Governor's Fundraiser

I see in the news today ( not the main stream media of course ) that Obama will
be attending & making a speech in Virginia to help a crone of his obtain the governors
seat in the next election.
Of course I realize he has too much free time on his hands , now that he 'solved' all
of our countries problems.
And how many millions will this trip cost the taxpayer ?????
What a putz .

Like I've said many times - (IMHO) all those that voted for Obama must be so darn proud. Just imagine having American Citizen's like Senator Harry Mason Reid and Representative Nancy Patricia D'Alesandro Pelosi on your side. Such a shame..

You must have your blinders on if you think that every president and politician doesnt do some campaigning from time to time. Yet you treat Obama like he is the only one to ever do such a thing?

I also saw, where we are going to spend 3 million or so, for concerts!
I know Beiber, Beyoncé, and Brittany, have been having a real hard time in this terrible economy!
I worry so, 3 million, will not be enough for them!

Pat,

With all due respect, how many threads like this do people like me neeed to comment on before it is understood that comments like yours are a big cause for concern?

All I ask is that people learn and grow. I am not questioning your individual opinion about concerts, but I am questioning your delivery.

You saw this where? Your comment provides zero information for others to form any kind of opinion.

I think this is perpetuating a society of people who form opinions based on absolutely nothing at all. Guys like Rush get on the radio and are able to say whatever they want and are not required to provide any sort of opposing viewpoints. (See "The Fairness Doctrine" for details). Thus, we are force fed a one sided opinion.

IMO, this leads to us being force fed opinions and essentially we are being told what to think and how to feel.

Just my 2 cents.

yes, EVERY politician has done this since the beginning of time.
Why I 'pick on' Obama is that he tries his best to cover up news
like this, spending the taxpayers money on things that don't give
citizens any benefit what so ever; while telling the public how to
live their lives; AND cramming one policy after another down our
throats. And as you are so fond of saying. "Just my 2 cents worth"

I happen to think, some of the comments I read, are also a big cause for concern. Sorry if I don't meet your guidelines of throwing up references. I usually don't watch tv, but I'm watching our legislators and the news, a little more, nowadays. I certainly don't get my news from Alex jones, or them other places, you all seem to know a lot about! LOL! :laughing7:

I saw it on Fox news channel, sorry I'm not finding it on their website yet.
They had thrown up a chart on tv earlier, showing some state, that was getting federal funds, to upgrade the concert stadiums and set up concert venues.

I'm sure concerts could be considered important. It could provide jobs for those behind the scenes that make it happen.
It also might be important, that money could be used in education or other areas, that may provide more benefit for the community or state.
And no offence intended, I don't really care, whether you like my delivery or not. I read stuff here sometimes, I may not agree with, OR appreciate the way it was said. Still that persons right, still my right. I do not mean to be a jerk, when I interject a little humor.

So there.......

Non taken and please take no offense by my comments either.

You are obviously a very intelligent person and I just want to show how comments like "I heard this or I heard that" can be major cause for concern in our society.

You should probably start a thread, that we can put up links, to waste we learn about in the government.
I keep reading and seeing, numbers and programs, that I really scratch my head! Some of the (what seems to be) wasteful programs and expenses in the country, seem to only serve a few, not the many.

Sorry I don't have links and references, I gotta prepare food. Ya'll know how to google: government waste.
