My Brother in Law wanted to try out My Equinox 800 after lunch at Grandmas after Church. I’ve hunted this yard pretty hard with My CTX. We start off and find a new penny, brass bullet casing, the top of an old salt/pepper shaker. Then he decided to go across the sidewalk and starts again. First signal was jumping all over the place, but he wanted to dig it. And of course, I’m doing the digging lol. It was a bottle cap. So We move on.
The next signal is a Sweet Silver sound. Of course he didn’t pin point it right on, but close. The first thing I came to was a fairly large galvanized nail that was bent in half. He said is that it? Of course I said I don’t think so and swung the coil over it again and got that Sweet sound. I dug over a little from where he pin pointed, and sure enough I saw that Sweet Rim staring at Me. I told him there it is, but didn’t uncover it. I had him pull it out.
The next thing You hear is him saying loudly “ Sweet a 1937 S Quarter!” And that it was. I think he’s hooked now, and yes He found it so I let him keep it
It must have been so close to the nail that the CTX couldn’t get it? Silver#40 fty
