Gray and Purple Rock

Does anyone know what kind of rock this is, and if it has any value? It is gray with purple veins through it. I bought it from a rock collector who had died, so I have no idea where it came from originally.

I don't know rocks, but a few more pictures might help those that do.
To me it has the look of Quarts.

I've seen.purple quartz in Mi but yep try rock and gem forum
