Greased die or pmd?

Went trough a box of half dollars today and found this...


The rim looks so good but I've never seen so much detail lacking other than when it's worn down from post mint damage and the rim destroyed

Very nice. I have found a few like that.

That is an error coin. Struck through grease (a greaser). It it were wear, the wear would be even throughout the coin. Notice how some letters on the reverse are strong and some are weak, even right next to each other? That could not happen by wear. Nice coin, it does have some value.
