While going through some penny rolls today, I found an interesting coin. I've seen plenty of scratched and damaged coins, but this coin seemed to have a raised scar. Went ahead and put it under a magnifier, and sure enough the scar was below the stamp, as seen prominently under the 3. I'm hoping this is a die crack, and would like to hear the opinion of fellow members on the matter. Picture attached below, eager to hear input. I hope this picture provides enough detail.

I am not convinced. Plating bubbles come in many shapes and sizes. On zinc cents, they can have very similar appearances to genuine die cracks.

Press what appears to be a die crack in a few locations with a toothpick. If it gives in any way, you have a plating bubble, not a die crack.

Another feature of your coin that leads me in the direction of plating bubble is the obvious discoloration from corrosion already on the coin.

Time for more coffee.
