Hello, This evening, I got out at a late 1700's home site and dug this earring just at surface level. One of the three loops looks like silver and possibly carved out of a silver half or dollar. Reason being , the thick rim and piece of thin material still attached to the inside. Then a good copper signal with the Ace 250 and out popped this large flat button with shank still attached. It has a small design on it and was only about 3-4 inches down. I thanked God so much for this as I love finding these old flat buttons! Take care! Paul
