Great couple of boxes and a personal milestone

Had a 17 box skunk streak that ended last week. Considering I only do 5 boxes of halves a week, I was getting depressed. Today I pick up my 2 Friday boxes, and notice an ender staring at me - 1968. Each box had at least 10 silvers, and one roll in each box had 2 silvers.

Ended up with a 1959D Franklin half and 22 40% halves. This finally kicked me over 1,000 40% halves!





Again, I only do 5 boxes a week, and have been at it since 2011, so I'm pretty pumped!

Interestingly, my ratio of 90%'s to 40%'s is 200:1,000

It's still out there! HH!

Good to see your luck turning around Formerteller. Always gets the blood pumping to see silver without opening the roll. Getting rarer these days.

Congrats! A 5-1 40%-to-90% ratio is VERY good over a 3 year period. Mine is much closer to 50-1.

Congrats on ending your skunk streak with a couple of good double digit silver boxes and for finding your 1000th 40% half. Like ABM said, 5 to 1 is a good long term 40% to 90% ratio too. Its nice ending a long skunk streak with some good boxes like those. Unless I can find a little silver in some boxes I got on Thurs and Friday, I'll be up to a 10 box skunk streak myself. I'll be relatively happy just finding one or two silver edges to keep my skunk streak from going into double digits.

Feels great to end a skunk streak! Congrats on reaching the milestone. I had one of my own recently, surpassed 1,500- 40s for the year at the beginning of august.

Hey FT, BIG CONGRATS on the milestone! Nice boxes too! I am just about to hit my year end goal earlier ( hoping this week) which will probably make some sick to see lol, but it is nice when you hit that mile stone! I am 48 40's away from filling my 4th box of 40%'s this year and about 80 away from filling one box of 90's! HH, Maverick.
