Hi folks, :hello:

Since the dreaded Lymes outbreak, I have pretty much been confined inside for the most part. Every time I mustered the energy to go outside and beep, I lost my energy and returned back inside for an "old fart nap". :laughing7: I did manage to find one VERY cool Crystal formation in a recently plowed Asheville NC garden this past weekend. Right on top of the ground, sparkling in the sun, was this beautiful Quartz specimen. I have studied in the past, that most of Asheville lies atop a Quartz bed. I would love to find the rest of this piece. The other photos were taken near the NC and Virginia border.

Oh!

The Ribeye was taken in my kitchen where I have been dwelling during my quarantine. :laughing7:

Nice find Mike.....Hope you get back to your old self

:icon_thumright: that is a very cool find :notworthy:

...if you like crystals, over in Germany in a place called Bad Kissingen some of the jewelry shops there had crystal that was almost three feet tall- must have weighed a couple of hundred pounds... not sure what it cost... betting a few hundred -and I've never seen anything like that here in the states since I've been back.... kind of wish I could have picked something up there... :'(

For Mfitzy: A huge crystal like you describe would be several thousand, easy. Look for a rock and mineral show in your area. The bigger the town, the bigger the show. We have a show in Sept in Denver--my friend Pablo from Brazil brings amethyst geodes large enough for a kid to stand in. And lots of quartz crystals of huge dimensions.

Beautiful crystal cluster! And exactly what did it beep in at???? Man, I will go rock detecting with you anytime. I suspect it was a garden piece gone astray, as that type of thing has to be dug from the native rock. If you were in Ark. that would be at least $15-20 in any shop around.

Ok, sorry Mr. censor, I will try again: And what was the reading on your machine when you found the cluster? LOL

I took one of them "old fart naps" tonight and missed dinner :(

Nice crystal mate, hope you feel better soon :icon_thumleft:

Hope you're feeling like your old self real soon.
Lymes is something that scares the heck out of me...
You caught that little bugger pretty early, hopefully the treatment will have back out soon.

Sayin a prayer for ya...

A few million tons of pressure, several thousand degrees and a few years will make that coal y'all have into the other white crystal--Diamond. Great photo of "quartz" rock candy. Never could get that to crystalize, and my mom grounded me for dissolving all her sugar.

:icon_thumleft: beautiful piece Mike that will look great as a paper weight for your desk or on the mantle .

HH Tank

Mmmmm. Steak!

No doubt the cristal is awesome...

but what really got my attention was that AMAZING LOOKING piece of meat, cooked to perfection!!!! :headbang: :headbang:

Nutria

Awesome quartz find. Also nice bunch of buttons. Take it easy and get well.
Dman

well that settles that im having steak for dinner.... ;) awesome stuff buddy!

Neil

That quartz is sweet, nice pickup! hope you start feeling better soon, that Lyme's can be a real bugger to kick, but give it time, and take it easy!

A quick recovery to you Mike !
best crystal I've seen.
looks like you pulled a few nice coins too,
With fine nutrition like that you'll be back 'in the swing' in no time.
Best to you, Herbie
BTW, I got a faint signal one day, finally realized it was a small translucent white pebble, gave a consistent high tone.
Unfortunately it was lost between pocket, and the finds bucket sometime before I got home, very strange that a stone you could almost see through would contain enough metal for a signal, chalk it up to the Etracs performance ;D
