This past weekend we buried my grand daddy. So today I took some "me" time to disconnect and not think. Metal detecting allows me to do this. I went to a house I have been to MANY times and even told a friend "I'm going but I probably won't find anything but I just need to get away to myself". I focused on a hillside I have avoided cause it just didn't look promising and needed a new spot. Found a few modern pennies then I had a 68-70 on the AT Pro and I wasn't really discrim cause I didn't wanna miss something good and I pop out a penny that had the familiar "one cent" on the back and I knew instantly I had an IH. 1904. The very next target was the 1924 buffalo. Then the next was the Air Force Observer pin. Then came the 1944 merc. Throw in a few wheats for fun and it was a good day at that house. I had only been there an hour to this point and had one hour left. Went to a yard down the street that I have been to as many times as the first one. Second target was the 1940 merc at two inches under a root. Lol. I have no idea how I was able to detect it cause I've been all over that tree. All in all a great day. I hope you enjoy the pics.
