If you can stay out of the snow. Down below Mt. Elbert, 45 degrees but pleasant other than a little windy. Not far north on the west end of Turquoise Lake about 3 inches of snow on the ground. And at 4 this afternoon, up on Fremont Pass, 22 degrees and snowing right on down. Roads were fine though. Saw an ominous pile of bolders along Halfmoon Creek. The feds are using these to block off 'unauthorized' roads, ATV trails and access to certain campsites in this area. I'll see how this plays out. With that size pile, they can block off a lot of things, so I hope this is not a move to force everybody into the pay campground. Saw a couple of places they blocked and agreed with it.
