I have always known about bottler Frank Rotella, a soda bottler dating back to the early teens and into the 1930's. At first I had an art deco 6-1/2 oz. soda, then someone found me a wooden crate. Last year I got a call from someone a few towns over about a group of 28 oz. acl sodas they had, it was a shocker to find 3 previously undocumented bottles, one of them being a Jockey Club Beverages bottled by Frank Rotella.

Then 7 days ago this great sign popped up on Ebay, it was listed as being from Patterson N.J., which is often misspelled and overlooked by many collectors. Much to my surprise I was the only other bidder on this beauty, it's 36" X 17" and I'm gonna have it mounted in a nice frame after it arrives. I almost didn't bid considering the starting price, and I expected much more action considering it's previously unknown, but I had a great week selling non Paterson bottles and figured I'd get in on the action.

Here's the sign, the 28 oz. acl and the crate....

Fantastic find, love the sign! The colors really pop! Congrats!

Nicely done! You've got the bottle, the crate, and the sign - they all seem to give each other more life, a more vivid look at the bigger picture. Beautiful.

Really great finds! You should charge admission to see your Patterson collection! You must have the most inclusive Patterson, NY glass/stoneware collection in the world! Always enjoy your posts. That sign is awesome.

The variety of Patterson artifacts is astounding.

"Jockey Club, always a winner." I like it. The sign is superb. Could be the only one in existence. Who knows. Great additions for your collection

this is cool Jim. It's great to find a new local bottle .
