Great Veterans Day Find ! pre 1925 USMC Eagle, Globe & Anchor

Thanks to all Our Veterans, it's because of You we live free in this Great Country.

I got some time to search today, It's been a while.
back to my 'Old Faithful' spot. no matter how many times I go there, there's always
something new! well actually, something old (the coins were both surface finds).
first find of the day, a Marine Corps Globe & Anchor Pin, quite large (42MM),
Can't find an exact match for it online, if anyone is familiar, would love to learn more about this item! (closeups of 3-D items are tough) Got Info! pre 1925 cap pin!
Another Counterfeit for me, this time a drilled 1822 LC, only weighs 7 grams, about 4 short. numbers don't look right either. (Coin looks much better than the pix show)
a toasted 1870 IH,
Some type of lead Weight,
A pewter container rim, had a hinged lid once, (or, Whatsit?)
A twisted copper curlicue, and a couple suspender clips.
had a great hunt! Thanks for Looking!
Best Digs to All!

Got no clue myself, before it got bent, had the holes on each end, rising to a point at the center. Maybe furniture or chest trim piece?

Wow , could you have planned that any better ??? Argentium.

Re: Great Veterans Day Find ! Marine Corps Globe & Anchor

Nice finds! I'm thinking your LC might be real. I just weighed an 1821 I found this year and it weighs 8.3 grams. So it seems like yours is probably real based on the "wear and tear"

Thanks for your replies!
The USMC pin was such a great Veterans Day find, I rushed home from work to post for the Holiday.
Specs for a Coronet say it originally weighed 10.98 G, I can understand some weight loss from considerable wear on the reverse side, (this side was facing up on surface in rockpile),but I don't think its missing near 40% of its mass.
The off center hole, ie, not for a pendant.
Drilling was a standard procedure for counterfeits I believe.
Would like to hear from others on this.
Good Day & HH to All
