Thought I'd check out treasurenet. Looks a very active and interesting site.

As its an American forum.. Here's a pic of one of my past finds that you might appreciate .

It's an 18th c toy Flintlock musket . Its one of the first cap guns ever! ( a little charge went in the tray at the the top) and the only complete one I know of in existance. ( please prove me wrong or right!)

DSCN0590 e.webpI found something similar in our garden in Northants before we moved to the USA some years ago. Have never tried to clean it up.

Welcome to the forum!! I found a similar gun about a year and a half ago while hunting in the UK.

Yes.. Thats one.. well done. Now you know what it would of looked like. Did you ever find a pic of a complete one?

Debby it's actually called a 'Gamage gun', after A W Gamage, who ran the People's Emporium of Holborn, London, and was a major supplier of them.:thumbsup:
